Kedarnath is one of India’s most important Hindu pilgrimage destinations, situated high in the Garhwal Himalayas. The Kedarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and forms part of both the Char Dham pilgrimage of Uttarakhand and the twelve Jyotirlinga traditions. Access is seasonal and involves travelling through mountainous terrain from Gaurikund.
